Furhat aims for a friendly robotic interaction

Robotics are becoming more and main stream, I saw this on Reuters Technology recently

A robot with an expressive human-like face aims to take our new-found ease talking to machines like Siri and Alexa to the next level. Stuart McDill reports.

Robotic tech is usually considered as disconnected from life, but this is changing fast as more and more companies are focusing on humancentric computing.

This technology, projects a digital face through a mini projector on to a translucent plastic surface to express emotions and a more friendly interaction.

Especially if technologies such as this becomes more and more common, it will drive down costs, making tech more mainstream.

What I am more interested to know is if this is a fad or does this actually have any potential. Most importantly can it be monetized.

Last but not the least, tech like this needs to be affordable and mainstream enough to be considered by small business market.

It is really interesting how technology is evolving and impacting our lives.

I try to catalog and similar stories on my website, one for referring to back when you are writing something, and two to share with everyone.
